WHO ARE WE?
Suncoast College of Health was founded in 2004.
OUR MISSION
To provide healthcare education which excels in competency, compassion, quality and dedication.
OUR GOAL
To educate the student the importance of patient care and to assist the student to develop skills in clinical competency, compassion, respect, teamwork, trust, collaboration and efficiency. Our goal is to help each student understand the scope of practice that is integrated into each level of nursing education and practice. We will assist the student to understand the expanded role each level of education adds to the layers of responsibility for the professional healthcare provider.
NC-SARA
The College was re-approved to participate with NC-SARA offering education thru October 2023.
ACADEUM
The College is a participant in Acadeum’s consortium course-sharing platform which helps to meet students’ general education course requirements that are most strategic to their program completion.
MERITIZE
The College recently partnered with Meritize which provides private education loans. Their loan programs are designed to be flexible and unique to meet the needs of our students. The application process is designed to be simple and provides our students increased access to innovative funding options that use past achievements to go beyond traditional, credit-only lenders.
THE CAMPUS
Convenient public transportation to the school is available. Ample parking facilities are adjacent to the School.
SUITE 103
There are 4 classrooms for theory, two simulated clinical labs; 1 kitchenette, 2 bathrooms, 1 waiting room, 2 computer rooms with up to 10 computers, all with internet access and offices for instructors and management.
SUITE 143
NEW! Our simulation laboratory that was recently upgraded to transition to a virtual reality simulation with multiple televisions and Oculus VR Rifts. Complimentary is a skills training laboratory that contains Advanced Venipuncture Training Aids, Intradermal Injection Simulator, an Advanced Childbirth Simulator, an Enema Administration Training Model, a Multi-purpose Injection Trainer, Tracheostomy Care Model, Realistic Catheter Training Simulator, Newborn Nursing Skills and ALS Simulator, Pitting Edema Trainer, Venatech IV Trainers, Wound Care / Bandaging Technique Training Simulator and more.
In addition to the administrative offices and classrooms, the school maintains a library and a visual aids room for student's use located in suite 103.
Students who need to have access to a computer with internet may utilize the school’s computers any time during business hours, at no charge. Online Library for resources can be accessed on our website, suncoastcollege.edu or by going to the nearest public library.
